SEO Tutorial For On-page Search Engine Optimisation

NB: These instructions are intended for our Internet Marketing Solution clients using our proprietary IMS website management software. If you follow this simple guide, every page you create will be targeted for your chosen keyword or phrase. Our IMS software will then generate HTML code that is fully optimised for Google, which will greatly improve your chances of better search engine rankings.

(If you are not using our IMS system, the following information is still valid, however you will have to manually insert the information via your web page building  software).

How to optimise a page for best search engine rankings

Firstly, it is VERY important to understand that you can only target ONE keyword or keyword phrase per page, eg. 'keyword' = "internet", 'keyword phrase' = "internet marketing"

While you can, and should, use as many of the common synonyms (words with similar meanings, eg. 'dentist', 'dentistry', 'dental', etc.) in your general page content, there can only be ONE word or phrase at the beginning of each critical field or sentence a search engine robot indexes, and this must always be your chosen keyword or phrase.

The following screenshot example indicates how to insert your desired keyword or phrase into the critical fields within the IMS editor.

Plus, it is most important to ensure you use the keyword phrase 2-3 times in the start of the page content, and it is also helpful if you use it just once in the last sentence of the page content.

Once you have done that, don't forget to copy the text in the "Title" field into the bottom 2 fields "Description" and "Keywords" used for search engine indexing.
